The case for UV
UV blacklights for identification of textile material mixes, defects and contamination, which are not easily visible under normal lighting.
Examples include material mixes within a cone or cloth, rogue fibres on a beam and even two wrong yarns twisted together which is seen as a spiral effect.
- Textile manufacturing processes such as raw material evaluation, spinning, doubling, twisting, weaving, tufting, bleaching, dying and finishing.
- Identification of contamination in raw and waste materials, oil contamination in weaving or tufting and particulate micro contamination in non-woven medical grade products.
